Ls1 aluminum driveshaft. Not the usual question.
Ls1 aluminum driveshaft. Not the usual question.
I just installed an aluminum ls1 driveshaft and drove my car last night. Today i was under it and it seems like its not all the way on the output shaft of the tranny, like its not long enough. I thought i held it next to my factory driveshaft and made sure they were the same length. Theres about 2.5"s between the damper and output shaft seal. Im going to take it out and check it against my stock driveshaft but does anyone know for sure if there were different length driveshafts? It just makes me a little paranoid if its only being held on by an inch of splines.

the driveshaft should be 41.5" from center to center of the U-joints
