What to do?

Well, my car is just about ready for the track and one BIG thing in the way is my non working 9 bolt posi.....I realize I would pay way too much for labor and such installing gears and another posi for this rear end so I am looking for a 10 bolt rear end out of a 4th gen. I found one, bought it and FEDEX screwed me and the seller....long story but it ends with fedex shipping the rear back to the guy across country!
Now the gentleman whom i bought the rear from is going to ship me the 410 gears and auburn posi from the 4th gen rear end. I already have the axles from this rear end(he shipped those seperately). So my question is this guys....should I sell the gears he is sending me so try and get back some of the money i spent on buying the rear end or should I wait for those to come in(no telling when), buy a rear end out of a 4th gen (only one I can find is v6 non posi) and have the gears and posi installed in that and then install that 4th gen v6 converted into a posi 410 rear end into my car? Only ab 2 weeks left until tracks close where I live.
Another option i have is to buy a 10 bolt from another third gen that has over 100K mi on it and hope it holds......which knowing my luck wont!
thanks alot guys

and btw i know some people will say "just buy a 12 bolt or ford 9 inch rear end and call it a day" Well if i hadnt run out of fundage for this car I wouldve done that already.

Let me try to help.

You have a posi (zexel torsen locker?), a set of gears. good.

You need a good housing. I'd try to get a 90-92 28 spline rear end out of the junk yard rather than a 4th gen because the 4th gen is wider.

But either way, get the 90-92, or 4th gen rear end. The pinion depth tool is like $40 from summit, get that and an install kit (shims, pinion bearings, etc).
Then set the carrier up in the housing. 10 bolts are easy to put together. If you were local I'd help you.

Sounds like a good motor combo. Get movin!
