parts for a 700r4

Im looking to rebuild my trans this winter. I was looking for info on what parts I should install. Im buying a 2200-2400 stall from someone on here but thats all ive got so far. I keep reading about corvette servos and tv boost valves, but I dont even know how they affect the trans performance or which ones to buy, and the rebuild kits have all types of options. i have about 300 to spend. I dont want something that will slam gears when Im not on the throttle . what would you do? any info appreciated.thanks

contact probuilt automatics on this board. his name is Dana. he can hook ya up.

but to be honest, it will be difficult to get everything for $300 depending on wht's wrong with your tranny.

Re: parts for a 700r4

the only thing i dont like about the trans is its early shifts to 2nd and 3rd when im not on the throttle, but that might be normal for 700r4s but the tv cable is adjusted right and the trans doesnt seem to slip but its got 141,000 miles on it so its time to rebuild. I did research on the servos and boost valves so ive got a good idea what im getting there.471 boost and a vette servo, no need to spend for billet or any of that, I just dont know what rebuild kit to get, plus I would like a transgo shift kit, I see rebuild kits on ebay for 100-250 but I dont know what to look for in clutch plates (material) and stuff. please throw in your ideas thanks again. Ireally only want to spend about 300 for the rebuild and shift kit but if im only going to get garbage for that price ill do the valve, servo ,and shift kit and just wait till next year for the rebuild.
