Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the stock transmission is in a 1986 camaro sports coupe, 5L 305 4BBL(auto)?

 

All came with 700R4, 4sp with OD.

 

oh cool thats good news because I wanted to install that shift kit. the one where it makes it a manual auto. anyone know a good place for that/and or what the process is? sorry for all the questions im a bit of a noob /shrug.

 

The shift kit you want is the Transgo shift reprogramming kit. It allows full manual control of the shifts if you want it that way. I'd highly recommend getting one from Dana at Pro Built Automatics in Calimesa,CA. He can put a custom kit together specifically for your application, and offers unbeatable technical support. sorry to get off sub but i have a trani problem 700r4 91 camaro it shifts up like normal but when i go to manually shift like i use to.the trani act like its in neutral and i can press the gas and its like a big stall but can be over come by givin it throttle and shifting.what i mean is when iam slowing down it has no it doesent rpm down
