Backup light switch?
I'm not 100% sure about where it is at, but on my 89 IROC 305tbi vin "E", 5-speed, where might the backup light switch be? I read in a manual for an automatic, but couldn't find a page for the manual trans. I have a 76 Cosworth Vega that is a 5-speed and the backup light switch is located on the upper passenger side of the transmission. Is this where the Camaro's is also?
Thanks.

P.S. I looked around on the internet and all I get is stuff for automatics and the actual picture of one, no location data so far. From looking at my switch that I got at the parts department, it looks like it ought to go in the side of the tranny. I'm just trying to save some time from laying underneith a jacked-up Camaro on a rock driveway *ouch*!
Thanks.

yea it's towards the back and i think it's passenger...don't hold me to it, but i can confirm it is on the side of the tranny.

Thanks 84redta. Yeah, I was not sure about it, and I try to keep from being under the car for very long periods of time if I don't have too right now. It just hurts too much right now, lol.
