Typical parasitic loss?

I wish we could edit titles here, meant to say parasitic, anyways...

About what is it for the 700r4? I'm expecting close to 300hp at the crank N/A, and would like to guestimate what it will be to the wheels.

Thanks,
-john

I edited it for you.

Typical accepted loss is 15-18% for an automatic, and 12-15% for a manual.

Thanks. That's lower then I expected with a third member. Good news, I was hoping for 250+ to the wheels with the new motor. I'm using all stock GM parts except for the headers and cam, turbo is going back on a little later

Drivetrain loss is higher then the previous post. it is about 20/24 %. so your RWHP with a 7000R4 would be in the range of 240. But again it is just numbers, get the car on a Dyno for some accurate numbers.

Oh, it will be going on the dyno, but the same mods on another member's 3500 (3.5l) hit 273hp/291 tq in a FWD and he was figuring about 315 at the crank. The goal is 250 to the wheels before forcing it again.

Even 240 to the wheels will be impressive for a motor that weighs ~400lbs (fully dressed).
