Shifter Question
Would the shifter from a 68-72 El Camino work on the 700R4? The shifter that I am looking at is the automatic "Horseshoe" shifter. I know that other cars have used them (Chevelle, Camaro thru 81). Can it be used on a 3rd gen? I know that a custom shift plate would be needed, but would it work?
It looks like this http://www.yearone.com/images/parts/ha_hz/hs687.jpg
Or does anyone make a shifter like this for the 700R4 or for a 3rd gen?
Thanks in advance,
-Tim-

Re: Shifter Question
How about something like this? I just found it on ebay. It says that it will work with the 700R4. Would it be long enough? (The handle is 12'')
