Engine: 305 TBI

2nd gear is ef'd up

i was stuck in some ice the other day and i wanted to try to stomp it out the ice, and ever since then when my **** gets in 2nd gear it slips i think..like the rpm shoots high then when it gets to third it catches at the 40 rpm mark...anyone know what this is?

2-4 band is probably toast. that or you broke the sunshell. either way, both require tearing the unit down.
