Engine: L98 Carbed

Transmission: T5

Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt Posi 3.45

Weird shifting

I just replaced my tranny in my 85 z28. Everything works great but when it shifts from 2 to 3 it slips for a second or two and then goes into third. All gears are solid with no slip. Its just the 2-3 shift not the actual gear. Could this be an adjustment or somethig? Any help is appreciated.

I would say the shifter isn't moving into it's designated spot far enough for the trans actually shift the gear, makes sure it's not hitting on anything below the shifter boot.
