Re: torque arm woes
Jack the back end of the car up until the axle hangs free, and support the car by the places at the front end of the LCAs. Make a note of how far the rear hangs. Put your jack under the "pumpkin", and jack the axle up just enough to raise it off of the extension stops of the shocks; maybe an inch or 2, no more. Undo the harware at the bottom of the shocks (one nut each side) and free them from the rear end. Lower the rear end until you can remove the springs. Remove them. Jack the rear back up to a couple of inches above where it was when it was hanging free. Support the rear end with 2 more jack stands under the axle tubes: not the shock brackets, not the rear end of the LCAs, not by any other part, except the axle tubes. Held up this way, there will be no torque whatsoever on the rear end, and you should easily be able to rotate it to where it needs to go, to get the TA back onto it.
At that point, you are exactly 2 nuts away from replacing the shocks and springs. I STRONGLY recommend that you go ahead and do that, since you'll have done about 90% of the labor. Might as well just finish it up.
