Drop the tail-end of the tranny down. You should be able to get the top right bolt with a looong entension/s and a wobble-socket. Make sure you have clearance between the dist cap and firewall when you tilt the tranny down. Most folks remove the dist cap just in case. If you have an eng driven fan, check for clearance with the fan shroud. You may have to loosen/remove pass side header if installed. I did.

Re: 700r4
One of the bell housing bolts holds the fill tube.
The top 2 bolts are MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to get from above. Use a SHORT 9/16" box-end wrench. Once you break the bolt loose, use an open end. Pull the dist out and just reach down in there, they're right out in the open with the dist gone. Raise the rear of the trans to make it even easier.
Here's a pic showing which bolt holds the fill tube. You can see the other bolt holes clearly too, so you will know right where to go to find them even if you can't see them.
{edit} Actually as I sit here and think about it, it may be the one above and to the left of that one, in the pic.... I'm suddenly not so sure. Maybe somebody whose memory is clearer than mine can straighten me out. But, the pic will help you locate the holes, regardless.
