Ford 9" Pinion Yoke

Having problems finding a pinion yoke to work on my stock 9". I am changing to a 1350 u-joint so I ordered an aftermarket yoke(Allstar Performance). Went to install it and it wouldn't tighten up and was told I needed a spacer to go with it.

Ordered the spacer and I re-assembled. This time the spacer and the yoke meet right at the edge of the pinion seal. I am positive that it's goin to leak.

I see some yokes will only work with aftermarket pinion supports. I don't mind upgrading the pinion support also as long as I know for sure it is goin to work.

28 spline, 4" overall length, 1350 u-joint

Re: Ford 9" Pinion Yoke

Looking at the spacer and talking to a few guys locally they suggested to have the spacer machined to the thickness that I need.

I did some measuring and I will be able to make this yoke work after all. The Spacer will be thin enough that it brings the yoke into the seal further and thick enough that I can tighten the nut to get the proper pre-load on the pinion bearing.

There must be a direct bolt-in yoke out there somewhere?
