having some transmission issues
having some transmission issues
So I just had to swap the flywheel on my 92 rs, and I could swear that I lost a massive amount of transmission fluid when I did this. All things considered, after a few minutes I pulled my head out of my *** and plugged the snout with my driveshaft. It's a th350. I put a good quart or so of fluid in it afterwards, and the dipstick says that I'm like way overfull or something. I just had to replace the 2nd gear servo accumulator o-ring, but now I've got myself a drip up near the stall. I drove on this transmission before the flywheel swap, but now it doesn't even try to budge. The linkage is hooked up, and I've just got no direction here. Tranny's really aren't my thing. Help?

Re: having some transmission issues
My experience was that if there is no pressure, and or fluid the tranny wont budge. You might wanna check if your cooling lines are hooked up and you have enough fluid in there. Other than that re-check everything.

once again, don't know **** about trannies. From my understanding, I thought that the stall was the pump? If not, where is it, what is it, can I swap it myself, and how much is it?

Re: having some transmission issues
the torque converter slides into the pump at the front of the trans. if the converter slid out while yo changed the flywheel and you did not fully seat it again chances are you killed the pump gears and that would cause your no move condition. did you check the fluid level w/the motor running and in park?
