Re: Tail housing questions...
I don't know.... my T-56 came with one. Most times, they usually do. They don't install or work well without one.
What are you REALLY trying to do? Is yours missing or broken or something?

Re: Tail housing questions...
i an gonna build one from scratch... i did some math and found out that it would be quite cheaper for me to buy the gears, case, and everything and build it myself... i already got the case and bellhousing... i need the tail housing and then i will get all the internals... plus some high performance ones to make it a bit beefier... why did i not just get one from a junk yard... because i like my stuff new... thats just me... i an gonna put it behind an lt1...

Re: Tail housing questions...
you're gonna buy every single bolt, gear, bearing, synchro ring, synchro assembly, shaft, case piece, shift rod, new? there is now way you can buy all the parts separate, build it yourself, and get it cheaper than rebuilt. i don't see it happening. to many little parts that you don't see.

Re: Tail housing questions...
not really... i found EVERYTHING needed for around 1600... all i need is the tailhousing... yes that is all the gears, bolts, synchros, etc... rebuilt would cost me about 2000 at a local auto zone... does anyone sell the tailhousing new?
