i have an 85firebird with an 89 L98 out of a vette, 01 ss rearend, and a 700r4 in it currently, i just blew my 700r4 up i wana put a t56 in i have someone to put it in i just need the parts. What do i need(all parts) whats the price of everything without install and where is the best place to get it from? thanks BTW im getting a 98-02 t56. i did searches every search was in depth questiosn nothing broad over the whole thing. thankyou

 

its easier then you think when i did my mine i took everything from the donor car slave/pedals everything all you need is a correct crossmember (i had one made and you need to bang a dent in your wheel well to fit the slave, you chould see a pattern under your carpet for the slave but the best way is put your bedals in match to the firewall and drill your holes it takes some time and finess but its relatively easy

 

if he's going to use the transmission out of a 98-02, he's going to need allot more than that, he's going to need a special legnth driveshaft, a bellhousing and allot of fabrication, it would be allot easier to trade that trans for a 94-97
