700r4 help

The parking paw on my 85 700r4 does not go into the case enough to realese the low revers piston by just a fraction of a inch. Any ideas/help would be appreciated considering im new to transmissions.

I am assuming you are rebuilding the trans I have seen this you will have to remove the little plug at the end of the case and take the pin out and remove the paw
