switching rears

Does anyone know if a rear axle from a 1994 z28 camaro will fit directly into a 1990 rs camaro?

Re: switching rears

Im 99% sure that it will, but I know that the rear is alittle wider in a 4th gen then in the 3rd. do a search, there are numerous threads on this swap.

Re: switching rears

welcome to tgo.

Yes it will fit directly with no modifications. It will stick out about 2" on each side. There is a tech article about 4th gen rears in our 3rd gens. for a 93-97 rear you can use ebrake cables from 91-92 fbodys.

The search feature on this site will help you immensly as probably anything you can think of to do to one of these cars has either been brought up or been documented on how to do it.

Kenny.
