I'm having some problems when I'm coming to a stop it shifts from 1st to 2nd back to 1st a couple of times before I stop .I replaced the fluid and filter and made sure the o-rings came out with the old .This is driving me crazy any help please..............

 

Unplug the square harness on the drivers side and then try it again and see if it happens

Can you drive with it unhooked ? Will it cause damage ?

 

It won't damage anything as long as you don't run it forever that way. It keeps trans temps down by locking the tc up so that there is no slippage between the engine and transmission.
