clutch adjustment?
clutch adjustment?
hey i think my clutch need to be adjusted. i have to push the pedal all the way to the floor. can someone please direct me on how to tighten it up so i do not have to stomp the clutch to the floor every time i need to shift? also whenever i put the car in reverse it grinds a little. i have heard this is normal but is there anyway to stop it? i do go "1st then reverse" but it still grinds.

Re: clutch adjustment?
first thing i would check is the clutch stud/pivot ball . its the pivot point for the clutch arm . its on the drivers side of the bellhousing where the tranny mates to bellhousing . i had the same problem , my bolt had backed out . takes a 3/8 allen wrench , clearence is tight but doable . reseat stud with locktite . worked for me . hope this helps . good luck .
