Rebuild or New

Ok my tranny went out on my 90 Formula. It is an auto, my question is to rebuild or buy new. And if buy new what has had the best success.

Depending on what you want in terms of performance, I would rebuild it and add some "goodies" to it! For example: A corvette Servo, a TV boost valve 0.500" for the pump, Raybestos-Red devil clutches....
Try and find a good transmission shop in your area and tell them what you plan to do.
Basically, a 700R4 from companies like JET and others are all basically the same. You can add the same performance parts to your original 700R4 and make it like the others for cheaper.
I just rebuilt my 700R4 this summer and I added parts that I mentioned and it works great. If you want more info, let me know.

If you want to build it yourself, then I carry everything needed to build a Hi-Performance 700R4. If you want to purchase one outright I can help there to. I am a distributor for Continental & Precision Industries torque converters. I have been building Hi-Perf transmissions going on 24 years & have built quite a few 700R4's for members of third gen. Give me a call at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 10-6 PST
Glad Too Help!!!

Pro Built Automatics,

What do you have in the way of hard parts for the 700R4? Do you have any beefier than stock hard parts, like the sun shell? Let me know, because I plan on building another 700 as a back-up. Thanks
