700-R4 and 4L60e question

Im looking for a stall for my 700-R4. I heard the stalls put in IROC and Impala transmissions would fit in a 700-R4. Is this true? And if so would it be better to run this stall or buy say a B&M one?

More than likely the Converter you are talking about will work. The stall you are talking about refers to the stall speed of the converter. Aftermarket torque converters can be purchased at various stall speeds (i.e., 2800 r.p.m.) specific for your engine, cam setup. But make sure that the bolt holes on the converter line up with the holes on your flexplate/flywheel.

If I am not mistaken, you can not use a converter from a 4L60E on a 700R4 or vice versa. I believe the no. of splines are different.
