any suggestions? trany noise

I started up a freshly installed engine and after about 15 minuets of a few revs and some idling time the trany started to squeal. I put it in reverse and it really screamed. Put it in drive and it squealed about as much as when in park. When I goosed it in drive while holding the brakes and the noise kinda went away. I did notice after assessing the problem that my TV cable had a little tension on it, meaning it was not fully relaxed. I have a lokar TV cable and I dont have the factory style cable along with the means to set according to factory recommendation. The trany was fine when I took it out and the only thing I did to it when it was out was put a new torque converter in(3000 stall TCI).

Any suggestions as to what this noise is as well as what could have caused this condition

In addition when the car is in park and idling making just a little sqealing sound when I pull on the TV cable it squeals as loud as when I put it in reverse.

thx

Jeff
