I am needing to buy a bearing for the input shaft of my t-56 which is mated to the rear of a 1 piece rear main engine. I have called 2 seperate parts stores and they say the part # for say a 91 Camaro bearing and the number for a 94 Camaro are differant....? Seems they would be able to fit each crank unless the o.d. is differant. Anyone possibly have a part # I could give these guys so I can get the right bearing?

Thanks,

Jason

There is no difference and the dimensions should be the same. The different part #'s could be due to who manufactured it. I went with a bushing from autozone and they are the same for 3rd & 4th gens.

As long as the O.D is 1.094" and the I.D is .592" for the Pilot your golden.

Thanks! I measured the input shaft of my T-56 and I am coming up with .588 , my calipers are el-cheapo though... The O.D. of the bushing I removed seems to be a touch under 1.094, but -barely- maybe 1.091

I am going to make another thread as my bushing is HAMMERED !!! No wonder the other trannies worked poorly!
