I took the car to the track for the first time today. Did a few passes and everything was fine, couldnt get the car to hook up very good. I noticed that one side of my car had alot more rubber than the other side from the burnouts, my friend also said that it looked like only one of my wheels was spinning, but he couldnt tell for sure. I did a small burnout while leaving a gas station shortly afterward and my friends confirmed it, a one wheel wonder. NOw i was turning also at the time, so that could be the reason for it, so when i got home i jacked the car up, and spun a tire, and sure enough, both wheels spin, however, when i placed one tire on the ground and jacked the other one up, there is some play in the wheel, about 3 or 4 inched it just moves back and forth. Now i just changed the fluid last week, and everything looked fine. Is there anything that i can do to stop it from failing? Would it be better to take it to a shop and have it rebuilt? My friend had mentioned that i should take it to a shop and get the cones on the posi tightened before it burns out altogether? Is that even possible? Its a 9 bolt with 3.45"s by the way.

i think you need to take it to a professional to check it out.
if its a 9 bolt posi unit..
have them inspect it entirely.
