Mustang T-5 in a Camaro, anyone heard of this swap?

I've been having problems with my 700r4 (3rd gear eradicated), so I was considering swapping to a standard. None of the local junk yards has a T-5 for a Camaro (I've heard the non-WC Chevy T-5 aren't worth a crap anyway), but a friend of mine said he saw a swap kit that allows you to adapt the bellhousing from a Chevy and a new crossmember/tail to fit a Ford T-5 and use in a Chevy (price unknown for the kit). I don't have the cash for a t56 swap so this sounding pretty good about now (since the Ford T-5's are a dime a dozen here). Have any of you transmission experts heard of doing this, and what type of complications could I possibly have doing this swap?

DUDE!! If you can find an adapter to bolt a FORD T-5 to a chevy I'll buy you a case of beer (shipping included)!!!!!!

I was going to do that swap, but it's pretty much impossible.

The case is different (bolt up to the bellhousing), the tail housing is different (no torque arm), and the output shaft is different (splines and diameter).

I can deal with the tail shaft (adapt a ford yoke), and tailshaft (I've got a custom torque arm), my only problem is the bellhousing bolt up!

If you find a site for the adapter let me know SOON!

If not, I'm selling my FORD T-5 as soon as I finish with the rebuild and saving up for a T56

My friend said he saw a magazine at work that had the kit(he doesn't remember the name, something comparing a corvette and the new porsch on the cover) that used the chevy bellhousing and an adapter to bolt to the Ford T-5, a yolk that would fit in the tailshaft and fit on the chevy driveshaft, the transmission mount/crossmember and everthing else needed to complete the swap (no price, thought) I told him to find out what mag it was in and let me know. My only worries were the torque arm and if the spline would go to the crank, what clutch it would use etc. As soon as I find out who has the kit I'll post the info, probably be tommorow, thought.

Advance Adapters Inc. Has an adapter that will work with the Ford Tremec five-speed.
Part # 712583
But I don't have the number. Get the November 2000 edition of Rod & Custom. They have a lot of swaps in there. Over 100. The mag didn't have the number to call.
