Late Clutch Engagement

I recently had my clutch replaced and the flywheel resurfaced. The clutch engages when the pedal is about half out. Is there any way to adjust it so the clutch begins to grab right off the floor? Also, is there anyway to get a heavier clutch pedal? I like actually having to push the clutch in instead of simply applying a little pressure.

BTW, I have an 89 RS

Yes. You can change them but not by conventional methods. What you are describing are desirible effects of a new clutch. If you have it grabbing off the floor now when the clutch begins to wear it won't fully release and you'll have major problems.
