still not sure about converter

im hopeing that you will be able to help me pick the right converter. i called vigilantie converters and they told me 3600 to 3800 stall maximum for me. i just really think this is a low number. ill give you the back round info on my car. its an 84 camaro, scott shafiroff 434 sbc, powerglide trans with transbrake and th400 splined input shaft, car weighs about 3500lbs. the motor was dynoed when i bought it. it made 576hp@6200rpm and 582 ft-lbs@4600rpm. i had a 700r4 in it but i wanted the glide with the transbrake. i was shifting it around 6600rpm with the 700r4. i also have a ford 9inch rear with 411 gears and 29inch tall drag radials(soon to be slicks). my cam card does not give me the gross duration it just has duration at .050, which is 252 int and 256 ext. also the car will have nitrous on it in the future. and what would be better for me an 8inch or 9.5inch conveter. whats the difference. please let me know if you need any other info that i may have forgotten. thank you very much for your time.

ps could you also reccomend a good converter company. i was looking at vigilantie($600-$700) and yank( they are about $1000).
