Hey all, man my car is going through some rough times. I just had to have the transmission rebuilt, and now it works great, in terms of gear engaging and whatnot, but there is one problem that I don't think is normal.... When I give it medium to heavy throttle, the shifter on my T-5 bobs up and down a bit. Especially when shifting to second this is evident, because as soon as I push the clutch in to shift, I can feel the transmission tilt a lot, and the shifter kinda drops down and towards me as opposed to just towards me... In first and third, under acceleration it also does this sort of thing, I can feel the transmission kinda bobbing... It just feels really not solid....Its hard to explain, but does anyone know what I mean? Or have similar problems, or think it could be the transmission mounts...? I'd appreciate any help I could get... Thanks in advance!
Peace,

Check the tranny and motor mounts. If you have had a history of oil leaks, the mounts are probably softened up. Get the urethane tranny mount if it needs to be replaced.
