drivers side 02 sensor 1 on LS1 swap

I have my engine and trans mounted and the drivers side 02 sensor in the exhaust manifold is broken off and it appears that there isn not enough room for one. Will one fit in there ? Or is there a different solution to this ?

When i did my exhaust i had the same issue, it wasnt broken off but there just wasnt enough room for it. I ended up having to cap the factory o2 ports and put in new o2 bungs a little lower down the line. I did it on both sides and was good to go.

When I had stock manifolds i was able to slightly bend the o2 sensor tail end just enough for it to fit on the driverside and not break the sensor. The passenger side I had to weld a bung on just past the collector in the y pipe i had made up.

What did you use to make a y pipe?
