Okay, 85' Z28 or IROC (cant tell which yet) I am planning on using my 400 to power it. Do you think that my rearend, i think it's the stock (10-bolt?), can handle the power. And how much power could one of hose handle before the ring and pinion go one way, and the posi-unit goes the other?

If you have the ten bolt (count the bolts), here is a site that has good info about the strength of that unit and some others. Good luck. http://www.isthq.com/~dan/10bolt.html
