Rear end swap, brake swap too...

Ok, I broke my australian 9 bolt rear end. The pinion teeth sheered off. My friend has a posi 10 bolt rear end, but it has drum brakes. Is it possible to take the disc brake mounts, it looks like they bolt through the backing plate bolts, and place them in place of the drum brake backing plates? Thanx.

i think the backing plates are differant and the bolt pattern differant. you have both rears where you can get to them, why don't you check, make a template or something from one to check the other with.
