Rearend went out. Please help!!!

I just took my car into a mechanic because it was making a whining noise and he told me that i chipped a tooth in my rearend gears. I need either a rearend out of a 94 - 97 6 speed fbody or some opinions of what to do. So if you know where i can get a good rearend or some other ideas please help. I need a rearend by monday so please help. I'm desperate.

not too many choices, buy new gear set or find a used rear in a junk yard.

I just had the same problem, but not a whine. It was a clunking noise. The whine sounds like the pinion bearing went out. That will cause the teeth to chip. Anyway, you'd be better off swapping the whole thing. Remember, upgrade if you can!! You have the reason, do you have the will? How about the way? Good luck!

Uh, why does it have to be from a 94 or 96 f-body?

go to www.slpeng.com This is the SLP engineering web site, thier take off parts are really cheap and i know they have a deal going on. U can get a zexal torsen differential, alluminum rear end cover and choice of 3.42,3.73 and 4.11 gears all for just 299. My advice would be to give them a call.
