10 bolt open 3.42 rear, disc brakes.. does it exist?
i am not sure if the gears were swapped in or not.. right now i got a 2.73 86 pegleg rear.. i have the opertunity to get a used rear, its a 10 bolt 3.42 gears, and a pegleg its self, but it is supposedly a 87 or 88 rear.. i know my 88 formula was a 9 bolt.. so could it be an 89 maybe??? Also this would be a huge improvement over 2,73's no? got an auto car...... thinking of doing a t56 swap or a t5 swap sooner...

I have NEVER heard of an open disc rear end.... hmmmmm
Could it be a blown posi rear? Is there any way you can get the code off of the rear end housing? Then you could find for sure what it is.
