Centerforce flywheel

I bought a Centerforce SFI approved steel flywheel for my 90 Camaro. The surface of the flywheel seems to have very small grooves that appear to have been deliberately machined into it. I’ve never bought an aftermarket flywheel before, and its been about 15 years since I’ve had one resurfaced, so I’m not sure what a properly prepped surface is supposed to look like. I talked with Centerforce and they said that it was fine and that they were supposed to be machined like that, however he couldn’t tell me the reason why. Anybody know anything about this? By the way, I plan to use a Kevlar clutch.

Thanks, Bill
