which gears to choose?!

i have a 86 camaro with a 350 and its got 2.73 gears. which arent bad but it doesnt seem to take off at a lower speed AS WELL as it does in a higher speed. i was considering 3.42 or 3.73. im going for something thats got good takeoff and good for top end

I'd say 3.42 or even 3.23

Re: which gears to choose?!

my stock 3.23's are rather nice, if u wanna take off like a banshee out of hell id say 4.11's but 3.73's are good too. id say 3.73 would be nice seeing as how u dont send your mpg out the window like in a 4.11 package.

What kind of 350 do you have mild or wild ? I'm guessing not the later. For a close to stock 350 I would go for a 3.42 gear.
