T56 computer

T56 computer

I heard that T56 needs a computer to work, I am guessing somthing about syncros. I have a 700R4, will I need to buy a computer or does it not need one?

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
A T56 doesnt use a computer. You will need a solenoid switch to activate the reverse lockout, however. Some people wire it to their clutch, or to their brake pedal.

Not all T-56's need the reverse lockout either. Mine works great without it.

Axle/Gears: 3.45 9 Bolt
Mine is hard to put in reverse with the Hurst and the solenoid still in place. Less leverage with the short throw shifter. I have been meaning to wire that up.....
