Rear gear question

hey, i think my rear end is about to pop( probably from beating the **** out of it) it is a 2.73 posi. the first day of spring break, the new 355 (approx. 400 horse)is going in. what set of gears should i get with a 700-R4. are 3.73's going to provide a rather large traction problem? are 3.42's enough to get around low 13's into quarter mile.
thanx in advance!!!

I think you would be happy with the 3.42's.Its a good all around gear that get out of the hole ok and want sacrafice alot of top end speed. Its also a very streetable gear.
