WCT5 diagnosis help?
Hi. I've been having some problems with my WCT5 and i was wondering if anyone could help me figure just how serious an issue i have (repair vs rebuild vs replace)
The initial problem was kinda odd. I think i targeted it down to this situation. When decelerating to a stop light, I light to put the tranny in neutral in order to keep wear down, but often times the light will change green before i stop. In this situation i usually try to grab 2nd (or 3rd or 4th depending), but maybe 1/5 times, the tranny will not shift. It will be stuck in neutral even with the clutch all the way depressed. I then have to pull on it harder than normal, and it'll pop into gear without any noise or anything at all. And then everything will be loose and fine. it's almost like somthing is bound up or???. IDK
The next problem is the tranny has been getting progressively more.. how to say this. sensitive maybe? I can "feel" the gears alot more now then when i first got the tranny. I refilled the clutch master cylinder (it was alittle low), and it fixed it maybe 30-40%, but there is still alot of "feeling" there.
And most recently, when i went to put it in third, it didn't just automatically pop over there and slid in. That might just be my own fault though. Maybe i accidentally pressed upward alittle early or hard or whatever because it hasn't done it again, although my dad said 3rd felt alittle funny.
Thoughts? I really dont have the money to replace it right now...
oh, and just so you know, the tranny is still behind the Stock LB9. The L98 has NOT been swapped in yet. Also, i have not launched the car or done any particularly abusive driving BESIDES the fact that i learned to drive a stick on this car less than 6 months ago, and i had some pretty violent neutral to first and first to second shifts when i was learning... Though it was OK until recently.
Thanks
