something just does not feel right

Ok, here is the deal, my 5 speed IROC has been having "shifting" problems for a while now. Here is what I have - new centerforce dual friction clutch, fresh WC t-5, b&m ripper shifter, new hydralics as well. I did put GM tranny fluid in it - at any rate, everything is very stiff, obviously the short shifter is there, it is just really stiff going into all the gear, especially first - and worse when cold. oh yeah, I put in a new clutch fork when tranny went in. It still feels the same as with the previous tranny (had all the other stuff on also with old tranny). It seems worse on downshifts as well. I've never had this kind of aftermarket stuff, maybe it is all stiff like this ? I think I should put some redline synthetic fluid in the tranny as well. Any ideas ???

Does it snick into gears when parked, engine off? If you can easily slide 1-2 and 2-1 back and forth, but it's difficult when idling, you probably don't have enough throwout. Try bleeding it (I assume you have an 84-92)

maybe

I have a new pre-bled unit from GM, I'm pretty sure that is not it, however, it seems as if I pump the clutch a few times it will go in easier - maybe there is more of a margin with factory and tolerances are tighter with aftermarket clutch - god, I really don't want to replace the hydralics, it's a pain in the butt and my back hurts for a day after laying under the dash half out of the car Maybe GM did not bleed it well enough ??
