Which rear end is better,9 bolt w/disc or 10 bolt?

I have a 86 trans am fully loaded T tops, disc brakes, posi, etc. I have a 10 bolt rear end with 373 & a auburn posi that I just switched over in my car. I'm having a problem with the rubber brake hose, that runs from the area under the left side of the car's rear seat, to the T fitting over the rear axle. The rubber hose does not screw into the metal lines over the axle(The steel lines from the 10 bolt are smaller) I have both rubber lines. One for the disc brakes, and one for the 10 bolt rear. It seems that if I could cut one end off of the rubber hose from the disc setup and some how put it on the 10 bolt's rubber hose I'd be in buisness, but right now I dont have a damn clue as to what I need to do. Has any one had this problem before? Does any one sell a modified rubber brake hose? One side for the original disc & the other for the smaller drum setup.
thanx in advanced

the 9 bolt is the stronger of the 2 thats why it was the performance option
parts in usa are a little harder to get (ratios etc) bearings are available from any industrial bearing supplier
ring and pinion sets are readily available in aus so if you where going to stay/get a 9 bolt alow 2 weeks for getting parts for it and with usa $$$ being worth so much compared to au$ (we get .53 us$ for 1$aus) costs are not so great despite what others may say to you

Hello?
Anyone ever switch from a disc axle to drum axle and had a problem with the ruber hose that connects to the long steel line that runs from the front of the car to the back? My rubber hose ,(thats on the 10 bolt drum rear) will not screw into the long steel line coming from the master cylinder! Is there any one that can help?

I went from 10 bolt drum to 9 bolt disk and had to use an adapter fitting. I don't remember exactly what though. Just take the fitting ends to the parts store and find the right one. You will probably have to go to a Napa or something like that as the local parts store probably won't have it.
