I read all the shift kit questions and realized that all of you love the transgo shift kit rather than the B&M shiftkit.. anyways, I've decided that I am going to get a transgo shift kit but would like your help in answering some questions. I have 1987 GTA automatic. Is it hard to install, will it ruin my tranny if I set it to shift hard form 1-2. will it squeak my tires from 2-3 in drive. is it hard to replace the springs and stuff if you don't like how hard it shifts. and finally WILL IT HELP ME BEAT THEM DAMN MUSTANGS. HEHE... Thanks a lot. I'm pretty sure I have the 700R4 tranny.

I don't have a shift kit in my IROC so I can't answer your question based on experience, but yours is a frequently asked question here. You should be able to find the answers to your questions using the search function on the board.
