T5 (5th gear gone) ?

I had a Wc T5 in my 89 camaro. The tranny never gave me problems with any gears and shifted smooth. I still wanted to rebuild it because I had it out of the car and was going to use it behind my zz430,I ended up using a t56 and selling the t5 to a friend. It was rebuild with a kit from 5speeds.com by a tranny shop. 30 miles later the tranny does not have a 5th gear at all? no grind or anything its just not there? What could be doing this anybody had a similar Problem?

its probable that the problem is with the 5th gear selector fork, either broken or the roll pin is missing(?)

The snap ring that holds 5th gear in place could have come off. That happened to me. It needs to be replaced with a new one, dont try to reuse the old one, or it will do it again.
