84 700r4 in a 91 f-body

will i have any problems bolting a 84 700r4 in a 91?is the wiring the same in a 84 and a 91 when it comes to the transmission?

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
It should bolt right in if its a later 84 rather than an earlier one. But a stock 84 700R4 isnt as good as a stock 91 700R4. GM changed a few things and made the later ones stronger. However, you can beef up the early ones to the same specs.

how can you beef it up.my 700R4 is slipping bad 2nd into 3rd.my cousin has a 84 camaro he is going to part out and he's going to sell mwe the tranny for $50.what do you think i should do to it

I'd say put the '84 trans in for now, then save up the cash to buy a rebuild kit (with instructions) for your '91 700r4.
