So today, after driving my car for over 2 weeks now since its been out of the shop it does the darndest thing now. It shifts hard. Normally it would rev between 2000 and 2500 and then shift to the next gear. now it waits to do it until 3500 or 4000. its good on fluid and everything. so does anyone have any ideas? my dad says it could be a vacuum modulator or something along those lines. i have all gears so the car isnt slipping, its just shifting hard. so....anyone? any ideas? its my DD and i need it fixed pronto.

 

there's no vacuum modulator.

 

a poorly adjusted TV cable could also cause this problem

 

it was most in part to a bad adjusted tv cable. i readjusted it and it works now. i still get a rough shift from 1-2 when the cars cold though.

 

check and make sure your fluid is at the right level, remember, fluid is checked with the car warmed up and in park or neutral.
