Hello, I have a quick question,

I want to buy a posi, doesnt matter what the price is, but I found this page on ebay motors, does this look reasonable? I think it sounds like a great idea.
Im also looking at getting 4.11 gear ratio with it too.

it says it is a limited slip posi package, does anyone know what that means? does that mean its more of a limited slip? I dont want a limited slip, but an actual posi.

I dont know much about rear axles, Im still learning and gathering facts, and this is the place to ask.

"Limited slip" and "posi" are the same thing.

 

Here:

open
limited slip, posi, no-slip, etc
detroit locker, gear locker, etc
lincoln locker
mini-spool
spool

Each line is it's own catagory. posi is the widest and most popular. That's what you want. There's a website that explains all the different posi's, how they work, benefits and whatnot... maybe try to find that...

 

Thank you, I found out later tonight that posi and limited slip are the same thing my shop teacher, and the owner at my local part shop told me that I dont want a posi because it will cause my to spin my tires all the time even when I take a turn, but my friend explain things a little clearier to me that they mistaken as a mini spool.

(I feel pretty damn dumb.)

I'll look around, but Im not finding a whole lot on posi's other than ebay, I might try the ebay packages and hope they will work, if not, oh well.

any more information any one like to add, I would like to have.
