gear ration in a 79 maro

gear ration in a 79 maro
I have a 79 camaro with a 305 auto and i might take the rear out of .. Does anyone know the gear ratio that might be in it?? Thanks

Probably 2.41 or 2.73... if you're lucky it might have a "high performance" 3.08 but i doubt it.
If it was a Z28 it would probably have a 3.73.
