i have a 700r4 and just outta the blue lost 2nd 3rd and 4th the tranny was running hard and shifting good everything works but 2nd 3rd and 4th was gonna do a th350 but if its simple to fix i would rather do that...any info would be helpful

82z28 with 300 horse 355 awaiting blower and newer 3rd gen with 5 speed and tpi.....am upgrading to 6 speed and tpis miniram with zzx cam and other goodies

 

i believe someone stated that a faulty governor would cause this. our trannies are not computer controlled so shifting occurs when governor pressure overcomes throttle pressure. sooo....if your governor is busted the tranny will never shift. you can still use 1st and R because there are no shifts involved.
