Re: quick question
unbolt the arm form the rear, then slide it out of the trans mount.
There are 4 bolts holding the tailshaft of the trans on, remove them once the arm is out, and you can remove the tailshaft and take the bolts out. You obviously have to remove the driveshaft to do this.
You may loose some trans fluid when you do this, be sure to replace it.

Re: quick question
hmmmmm, read it as he was taking the mount off the trans, but if you are looking to remove the bolts form diff side, put the car on jackstands and lower the rear as far as you can, watch out for the brake line! With the rear dropped you will be able to remove the bolts.

Re: quick question
there should be a small bolt that will release the arm from the trans. Just pull the small bolt and the bracket will release and the arm will hit the floor pan. No need to pull the long bolts out of the housing (not the ones that hold the extension housing to the trans-those are short.) unless you are replacing the arm mount. In which case you'll need to do what 86TA suggested.
----------
If someone put the long bolt in the opposite way-I see your dilema!! Next time install the long bolt the opposite way so that the nut will come off and it won't be an issue. That is the way I do it during installs to make it easier on the next victim.
