I keep reading how the tranny 700-r4 goes from 4th down to 3rd when at WOT or was it going too fast, the main thing is why would the tranny do that while speeding??
how can I fix that problem??

 

The 700R4 does in fact shift DOWN from 4th to 3rd after the peddle is like 2/3 the way down. I too wonder why GM would make a tranny that does this. It defeats the purpose of having OD, and it is potentially dangerous in my opinion. Read my post on the GM upshift kit. B&M also makes a downshift kit that does the same thing... it lets the tranny stay in 4th at WOT. Read more on this in the Tech articles and FAQ.

 

you should never race in od it is to hard on the trans. od was made as a gas saver not as a racing tool. that is why they most likely left it like that for so long.
