Transmission Swap
I'm putting together a plan list because I'm going to rip the beater 305 TBI out of my 89 Bird and put in a 350 TPI. I have a 96 LT1 thats sitting on the side of my house, now my question is will the transmission from the 96 fit up with the 350 TPI? Will the one from the 305?

It will bolt up, but the 96 is a 4L60E, electronic control.
You can use either thirdgen tranny, they are regular 700R4/4L60, non-electronic control.
